Who we are

Monster Ink Studio, Mattengasse 29, 8005 Zürich, Switzerland (info@monsterinkstudio.com) is the controller for the personal data processed on this website. We process data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, where it applies to customers in the EU, the GDPR.

What we collect and why

• Orders: name, email, shipping/billing address, optional phone number and the items you buy, to fulfil the contract (delivery, receipts, customer service).
• Customer accounts: email and password (stored as a salted hash), order history, to provide the account you requested.
• Booking requests: the contact details and any reference / body-placement photos you send us, to assess and answer your tattoo request. Photos are transmitted to the studio by email and are not published.
• Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection, we never see or store card numbers. We receive only the payment status and a transaction reference.
• Technical logs: our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security and troubleshooting.

Service providers (processors)

• Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., payment processing.
• Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland), web hosting and email. Data is hosted in Switzerland.

We do not sell personal data and we currently use no advertising or analytics trackers.

Cookies

We use only cookies that are necessary to run the shop: a session cookie that keeps your cart and login working, and, on the checkout page only, cookies set by Stripe for secure payment and fraud prevention. Because no optional or marketing cookies are used, no consent banner is shown.

Retention

Order and invoice data is kept for 10 years (Swiss commercial-law retention duty). Booking request emails are kept only as long as needed to handle the request. You can ask us to delete your customer account at any time.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, and request a copy of the data you provided. Write to info@monsterinkstudio.com. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, to your local supervisory authority.
